Conservation Architect

An opening for a specialist Conservation Architect to join a national AJ100 architecture practice in their small studio at the heart of the East Midlands.

Has the recent lockdown given you a chance to re-evaluate where you are in your career - is it time for a change? Or maybe you're considering relocating to the East Midlands from London or elsewhere. If this is of interest, get in touch for some confidential career advice.

They are a large organisation of circa 100 specialist staff including Architects, Technicians and Engineers spread across a network of offices around the UK. They have a diverse portfolio of work, spanning from retail and commercial, through education and healthcare along with a large conservation and ecclesiastical workbook especially in the regions. Their work is delivered in AutoCAD and Revit and they pride themselves on collaborative working between offices.

You will be an Architect, definitely ARB registered and hopefully you might be registered either with the AABC or the RIBA specialist conservation board. If you aren't either of those yet, but have ambitions to do so, then you'll hopefully at least have an MSc in Building Conservation or a wealth of listed buildings and conservation work in your portfolio already. You'll have a car and be willing to do some regional travel to visit sites around the Midlands and you'll have real passion for both building preservation and contemporary re-use.

You will be rewarded with a salary reflecting your prior experience but most likely in excess of £40,000. In addition, the practice offer home-working as standard, flexible hours and a perks package. Furthermore they maintain strong links with universities and actively eancourage staff to take part in critiquing student design reviews.

Call or email Joe for any further information. All communication will be received in strictest confidence.
