This just in! I'm currently assisting an established London based practice who are on the hunt for a Project Architect to work with them on a permanent basis. Salary is circa £45,000 pa depending on experience.
For this position you'll need to have at least 2 years PQE experience. One of the more vital aspects of this role will be your ability with Vectorworks as the company in questions use this solely so you'll need to be very comfortable and be able to hit the ground with this software. This is very much a job running role and as such you'll need to be comfortable with both the design side as well as your technical side and should have a track record of working projects from start to completion. There will be an element of client facing experience needed as you may be presenting and assisting clients through the process. If push came to shove technical know how will trump front end design experience but as mentioned above some all-round knowledge is required. Site experience is a must.
You'll be working within both the high-end residential sector as well as the hotel sector, much of this work is UK and London based so you should have a portfolio to match this. These are typically one-off high end schemes within the West London area. There may be an aspect of managing a small team however you should be able to work independently and take ownership of projects as well. You'll need to have a good level of communication ability as you'll be coordinating between various teams and individuals on site.
