Project Architect

Calling all Kent based Project Architects! I'm currently assisting an established practice in the Sevenoaks area in their search for Project Architects and Job running Technicians/Technologists on a permanent basis. These are permanent opportunities with a salary up to £38,000 pa.

As you may have guessed the first thing on the list is project running/leading experience. Tick? Let's move on then.

Secondly, although you'll need experience across all RIBA stages there will be more weight put upon someone's technical prowess over their design flair. As a result it's important you're able to illustrate quality technical detailing packages and should be up to scratch with UK building regulations. Site experience is also required as you may be required to visit sites across the local area, working alongside clients and contractors. How are we looking so far, 2 ticks down?

You'll be working within the residential team so prior experience of working on residential developments would be ideal, roughly of 200 units. The company are also known for their education work, ranging from primary to tertiary, so an understanding or background of working on schools wouldn't hurt.

ArchiCAD is the weapon choice however this is by no means a pre-requisite. Most of the staff they consider and hire are not fluent with ArchiCAD which shows they have a very successful training program for the software- all you need is the willingness to learn. It's a great chance to vary your software experience if you're not a current ArchiCAD user, adding more strings to the bow.

It's important that you've got the ability to drive and you'll need to be within a 45/50 minute commute from Sevenoaks to be considered.
