Associate Architect

Job Description

A fantastic position has become available for an Associate level Architect to work for a close-knit, established practice based in Kent. This is a permanent position with the salary up to £60,000 pa for the right individual.

For this level of position you are required to have a strong background as a senior Architect looking for that next step to progress, minimum of 10 years PQE. You'll be required to get involved heavily within the business developments of the practice, winning new business or bringing business along with you is a large part of this position. It will largely be a client facing role so previous experience of dealing with clients on site and maintaining existing relationships is vital. You'll be working across all RIBA stages and management you're own projects with a small team beneath you, although day to day you may not be getting heavily involved in the drawings side you may well need to get stuck into this from time to time. A varied portfolio would do well here, at present the practice specialise in the education sector- both secondary and tertiary as well as logistics buildings and medium to large scale residential developments. You have the potential to build the companies portfolio with another sector if you specialise in other areas. AutoCAD and Revit are the main software sin use, Revit fluency is not a must but an understanding and willingness to work with this is required.

With the order books full and with a solid long term growth plan over several years the company in question are looking to expand from the top down, building a team and providing flexibility in terms of directions to pursue.
