My client, a FTSE100 company are looking for a Lead Business Analyst to fill the following requirement: -
Leading a business team to deliver major change in the physical gas and power markets
Lead all business readiness activities for the the project reporting to the Programme Manager.
Plan and coordinate the activities of a business team (full time and part time representatives covering all areas of the business).
Build and maintain catalogues of requirements, processes, reports, data models and data mapping.
Deliver business process documentation and design.
Coordinate and prepare end user training and user acceptance testing.
Prepare the business for sytem transition with support from the Project team.
Socialise delivery vision, scope, plan, progress and manage expectations.
Facilitate sign off and completion of deliverables.
Escalate and address business issues and conflicts.
Facilitate and manage business change requests within the context of the Programme objectives.
Proven exposure of team leadership in a trading business environment
Ability to lead diverse teams of people. Proven people management skills.
Understanding of project management, methodology and best practice.
Ability to manage stakeholder relationships at operational and department manager levels.
Ability to manage supplier relationships.
Flexible through business change and has experience refining and creating plans.
Able to contribute at a strategic level, particularly around the IT contribution to the creation of a programme of work to achieve the high level business strategy.
Broad knowledge of energy trading and is able to provide a steer on a broad range of issues.
Heightened awareness of market trends in the energy and IT industry.
Track record of successful business-wide project delivery in an energy industry context.
Relevant energy trading industry experience advantageous, particularly with regard to UK Power.
Project Management accreditation (practitioner level) (e.g. Certified project Manager, APMP, Prince2 practitioner, ISEB).
