SSA are recruiting on behalf of a leading in London Contractor / Developer who are involved in major developments in Central London
The company due to expansion of its current management team is seeking to fill the following role
External Envelope Manager
You will be responsible for overseeing major facades / cladding projects from design stage through to project delivery.
The ideal candidate shall have extensive experience in the external envelope sector ideally in the high rise residential / commercial project arena
The project is currently at the early stages of development, pre construction phase and therefore you will need to have experience in being involved in the early stages of the process, managing design team meetings and inputting into the specailist subcontractors appointment and value engineering of the packages.
The systems vary from Metsec frame, sections of curtain walling, canopy / balconies through to render and brickwork.
You shall be responsible for…
Input into design issues with the design team
Part of the subcontractor procurement process
Dealing with buildability and value engineering relating to the external envelope works
Managing meetings with the design team and specialist contractors
Overseeing the works on site
The scheme will involve the use of metsec sytems and associated cladding and prior experience in same would be a distinct advantage.
