OVERVIEW OF THE ROLE
Based within the Contracts Department of this family-run offsite building company, this role is pivotal to the successful delivery of the Contracts Department’s, and the Company’s, objectives. The candidate will need to work closely with the Contracts team to ensure optimum delivery of projects. The candidate will be expected to produce high quality design work in a timely manner and to tight timescales.
The Candidate will need to produce drawings which accurately reflect the requirements of the client and of their Design Manager as instructed to them in accordance with the internal processes. The successful candidate will produce comprehensive, accurate and consistent drawings which fully support the ability of the Contracts team to successfully deliver project on site. This will involve working within tight timescales and the ability to produce accurate and thorough drawings in this environment is essential.
The candidate will be expected to undertake all work assigned to them by their line manager within the agreed timescales. This will be predominantly draught work but may include some work in relation to Building Control applications and BREEAM etc.
CANDIDATE EXPERIENCE OUTLINE
Experience of CAD or equivalent and general computer knowledge is essential for this role and knowledge of Revit is ideal, although training will be offered as required.
The ideal candidate will be good at following instructions, be able to deliver work to a deadline and will produce work which is accurate and thorough. The ideal candidate will demonstrate attention to detail and efficiency.
Personal qualities of enthusiasm, determination, integrity and loyalty will be essential for the ethos of this family company.
Good time keeping and a professional attitude is essential for this role.
The ideal candidate will have the following experience and skills:
· Proficient I.T. user with a general enthusiasm for learning new I.T. programmes.
· Willing to learn building regulations and other statutory approvals.
· Attend and take minutes of design meetings.
