Senior Architectural Technologist/ Architect
We are currently representing a busy RIBA accredited architectural practice, based in East Leicestershire. They have a broad portfolio, which includes projects within the residential, healthcare, commercial and conservation sectors. To their clients they offer the full range of services which includes feasibility, site analysis, full design and construction packages, building regulations and working drawing packages, 3D Design and Landscapes. They have received a number of awards for their work, and have a strong pipeline of work coming through, across a number of sectors. Their team comprises of Chartered Architects, Chartered Technologists and Part Qualified assistants.
They are currently looking to recruit an experienced Senior Architectural Technologist. The role will require the successful candidate to work across the full spectrum of a project, and be prepared to be in a client facing environment, liaising with the relevant authorities or contacts (i.e. clients, planning authorities etc). As it is a senior role the successful candidate may also be responsible for checking the drawings for the more junior members of the team. In addition to the client facing duties, the role will require the successful candidate to produce full working and technical drawing packages, have an in-depth knowledge of UK building regulations/ planning legislation, and have the ability to run projects through from inception to completion.
Due to the diverse nature of their work, the role may also be suitable for an ARB Chartered Architect. Similar sector experience would be desirable, and the experience and ability to lead and deliver projects is essential. If the practice decides to take on an Architect, the role would be changed slightly to accommodate for the Architects relevant design skills.
The role would suit an experienced Architectural Technologist, who can demonstrate through their portfolio and previous roles the experience working on similar projects (ideally healthcare and residential). The successful candidate will be experienced working on site, and taking projects through from inception to completion. Their in house technical design software is ArchiCAD, and although experience using this is desirable, they are prepared to offer the relevant training to a candidate who can highlight strong technical skills with other, similar technical drawing packages.
For an Architect, they will be looking for candidates who can incorporate strong technical skills and project running experience, with good conceptual design experience. They would expect the Architect to have a good level of experience Post Part Three, ideally within private practice and on similar projects.
They are offering a competitive salary package, which will be negotiable dependent on the individual's experience. Being based in East Leicestershire, the role will be easily commutable for candidates based in Leicestershire, Northamptonshire and South East Nottinghamshire.
