Brief description of duties - Provide the oversight, management and administration services for the Design consultant services contract, reporting direct to the Project director.

Responsible for overall direction, technical support and control of the Design programme & Design work plan with direct responsibility for design review, coordination, monitoring design schedules, design drawings / documentation, and bid process.

Post-Contract responsibilities include monitoring of RFI responses and technical submittal, processing for design changes and programme.

  • Facilitate and prepare, working closely with the Project Director, Design Architect, Project Coordinator, the following:

  • Project Execution Plan / Design work plan
  • Project Roles & Responsibilities Matrix. The R&R Matrix will need to be ultimately agreed with the Client /PM.
  • Project Quality Plan, Procedures and Work Instructions - Initial preparation, updates, and facilitating Quality audits via an Audit programme

  • Provide the single point of contact for each Design consultant on design issues and act as "facilitator" for the resolution of internal conflicts and problem areas. Facilitate, chair and minute weekly coordination meetings or conference calls with the design consultants

  • Details of what my client offers the following services from project inception to final handover:

    Master Planning For complex and multi-component projects, Urban and Master Planning design expertise to shape the macro environment of a project.

    Concept Design This process starts with a Site Rights Study in which they explore the possibilities of the site and the project, through to a Desk top Study, in which they establish the client's opportunities and requirements. This is followed by the Preliminary Concept Design, in which the shape and form of the building is explored and then into a Final Conceptual Design which confirms the client's requirements and expectations.

    Technical Documentation In this stage the technical teams prepare the documentation required for tender and construction.

    Site Inspection and Quality Assurance This stage involves ensuring that the architectural Design Intent is followed on site and the quality of the execution is monitored and meets both expectations and requirements.
