We are currently seeking an experienced and knowledgeable Acoustic Consultant with a background in the Environmental sector to join an international multidisciplinary environmental consultancy in their Cheshire based office. You will be tasked with the management and training of a team of enthusiastic specialists and project management on a broad range of developments across the UK and abroad.

Salary: £25,000 - £32,000 dependent on experience

Qualifications
Qualified to degree level in Acoustics/Noise and Vibration

Experience
Ideally a minimum of 3 years Acoustic consultancy experience in the Environmental sector
Knowledge of Acoustic equipment, measurement procedures, SoundPlan and CADNA-A modeling experience.
The ability to learn quickly be self motivated and work independently to deadlines
A proven track record in effective project and people management.
An extensive and detailed understanding of Environmental Acoustics
In depth knowledge and experience of using noise monitoring equipment.
Strong project management skills are essential.

Duties
Build client relationships, respond to enquiries, communicate with clients to establish their needs and draft fee proposals
Developing management systems for the construction, operation, and decommissioning stages of a project.
Carry out Environmental Impact Assessments
Manage noise issues related to the planning process
Summarise data interpretations and provide conclusions
Supervise and co-ordinate the work of junior specialists
Manage project teams to ensure production of deliverables to agreed timelines
Consulting during the initial project design stages; communicating with regulatory authorities, stakeholders, and the communities
assisting with environmental approvals and permits
Developing and implementing environmental management plans
Preparation of fee proposals

Projects
The current client portfolio is varied and the successful candidate will work on a number of public and private sector projects across the UK and worldwide.
