Client and Media Relations Manager
The role focuses on developing and maintaining the external relations of Rogers Stirk Harbour + Partners with the media, clients, potential clients, collaborators, students, schools, cultural institutions and the general public.
With Head of Communications:
- Act as a first point of contact for press enquiries via phone and email
- Develop and write press releases and media plans
- Respond to requests for information, quotes and images
- Identify opportunities for press coverage of projects and the practice
- Maintain good relationships with key journalists
- Maintain relationships with client and consultant communications teams
- Attend client PR/marketing strategy meetings
Meet with PR representatives from clients for new and existing projects.
Ensure that all upcoming milestones in projects are incorporated into the long-term plans for publicity.
Maintain relationships with past projects and arrange visits to RSHP buildings for potential client groups.
With Head of Communications: Identify required materials to support specific projects, initiatives, new business opportunities etc.
Regularly update text, facts and image content on job-sheets and other marketing materials.
Coordinate translations of key promotional material (including updates).
With Partners and Head of Communications: Assess opportunities for new publications on key projects and/or the work of the practice in general. Liaise with external stakeholders (clients, collaborators, designers and writers) to ensure that books are produced on time and within budget.
Respond to requests from publications with information about the practice and opportunities for new books specifically about RSHP.
Events and Exhibitions
With Head of Communications: Manage events related to the work of the practice, including lectures, talks, conferences and other external functions.
Work with Communications team in exhibition and event organisation and supply press and media support before, during and after the separate exhibitions.
Help New Business Development Associate to prepare materials for competitions as well as provide support with key client contacts on existing building where appropriate.
Monitor national press, trade, web and new media for press coverage.
Ensure that Communications Assistant prints and files relevant press.
Distribute relevant press clippings to teams and partners as required.
Update news and images on intranet alongside other members of the communication team.
Send out internal monthly newsletters to all staff (worldwide) to keep the office up-to-date with its own work.
Public and student enquiries
Ensure Communications Assistant liaises with relevant teams and directors on project enquiries from the general public, including occupiers, managing agencies and students.
Arrange visits to RSHP office for interested student and public groups.
Manage Communications Assistant.
Provide liaison between Communications and graphic production teams.
Collect and document consistent, accurate project data using project database and image library.
Provide support to Head of Communications, as required.
