We are seeking to appoint an outstanding individual to establish and develop a School of Architecture at the University of Reading. Responsibilities will include developing a strategic vision for the new school which reflects and builds upon the University’s excellent reputation for research and education relating to the built environment.

                        

With a fresh and exciting vision for architectural education in the 21st Century, you will have a strong track record of achievement in research and/or design practice. An excellent knowledge of design theory and its application to buildings and the broader urban context is essential, as are exceptional skills in advocacy and leadership. An international outlook is also required together with a strong interest in advancing policy and practice. We are committed to a progressive and innovative approach to the teaching of architecture and will admit the first cohort of undergraduate students in October 2016.
