A key player currently working within property & construction consultancy is sought for the Birmingham base of this international practice of integrated consulting engineers with a worldwide reputation for innovation and quality. With broad experience, whether from a Building Services (MEP), Structural, Architecture or Building Surveying background, this is an excellent opportunity to join the Asset Management team of this high profile consultancy.
Reporting to Group Director level, as Associate director you will typically take responsibility for management of people, client and commercial issues as would be expected of a senior representative of an international multi-disciplinary practice. This position is likely to suit a competent professional wishing to develop their career in the challenging areas of asset consultancy within the property industry. You will be working with clients to provide the processes to keep buildings running smoothly, with the least possible interference, helping people and companies to own, operate, maintain and remodel their operations, buildings, or facilities to best financial advantage.

To succeed in this role, you will be a a highly experienced, competent, professionally qualified individual having a minimum of twelve years' relevant experience in property and construction consultancy and with a proven track record of exercising sound technical and financial management over the complete range of technical services within a widely varying property portfolio. Work experience should demonstrate a substantial knowledge of the 'due diligence' process relating to property, including engineering services and general estates issues, preferably gained from commissions involving both individual buildings and complete portfolios. A comprehensive understanding of construction technologies, building fabric and mechanical and electrical services and their associated costs is essential however a bias toward a single discipline is anticipated. An appreciation of vertical transportation systems is essential. Excellent communication skills, and experience of winning work are naturally pre-requisites.
