Salary: £22,000- 30,000 (Depending on Experience)

Our client, a creative and innovative multi-disciplinary practice, are on the lookout for an experienced Architectural Technician who has experience within the residential sector to join their expanding design team which is based within Bedford due to a considerable increased in project workload.

Within this position, you will playing a key role in preparing and producing design and access statements for new build housing projects throughout the UK. You will also be involved on works at a range of development scales including detailed layout design and large strategic masterplaning.

As part of this exciting new position, you will get the chance to work on projects including; small and medium sized residential schemes. You will be involved in the detailed stages of planning and you will also be heavily involved in masterplaning for projects.

Essential skills for this Architectural Technician (Residential) position:

  • Experience of working in a similar role, preferably working on residential or mixed use projects post qualification, preferably for or alongside a house builder/ housing developer
  • You will have a strong technical or design background
  • Confident using software's including; AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3DStudio Max, InDesign and Photoshop
  • You will already have experience of working as part of a multi-disciplinary team
  • You must have a passion for seeking innovative, sustainable and creative design solutions for ever challenging design propositions
  • You must possess a high level of visual and verbal skills including freehand and colour rendering skills.
  • Ability for researching and analysing project specific data and information to underpin the design.
  • Good team spirit. Strong sense of personal responsibility and dedication to their work and the work of their team.
