Your new role
You will be the Architect working in an Architectural team responsible for delivering on large projects across the global portfolio of government properties. You will be in a unique and highly desirable position of working on some very prestigious global buildings which will only broaden your experience and add real value to your portfolio. You will provide design and technical support to the projects team that need to be deliver a vast programme of projects. You will actively manage the sub-consultants and contractors to get a high quality and good value for money in the projects that need to be delivered. You will need to be able to work on overseas projects which means you will be travelling with expenses paid to visit international sites. This will also mean that you will have a strong awareness and skills in terms of managing logistics, language and cultural differences.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this position you will need to be a Part III Qualified Architect as well as a member of RIBA with at least 5 years' experience working at this level. You will need proven experience project managing large design and construction teams. You will need to be fully competent on AutoCAD & REVIT and have worked on both programmes previously. It would be beneficial if you have worked on international and overseas projects previously. You will need to be security cleared in order to work in this environment. UK building regulations would also be essential for this role.
