Business Development Assistant
Charcoalblue is the UK’s most exciting theatre consultancy. We are currently working with the world’s leading architects, designing performing arts buildings for some of the biggest names in theatre.
We are looking to employ a driven, creative and quick-thinking Business Development Assistant, based in the UK working as part of our distributed team, supporting our UK theatre consultancy and acoustics new business activity.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone with an interest in the design and delivery of exciting construction projects within the performing arts, events or experiential spaces. You will undertake a wide range of business development and some marketing support tasks and will be required to use your own initiative and to be self-motivated. Training in the role and responsibilities will be provided, and as this is a new role there is opportunity to develop this role in line with your own aspirations assuming they align with our business needs.
A good understanding of the architecture, construction and live performance or events is desirable, along with proven experience in business development, marketing or a related relevant area of work. You should ideally be able to demonstrate experience in using design software such as InDesign or Photoshop, and some experience using a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system would be advantageous. You should have a high level of IT literacy in Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat.
As we work in a distributed model, the role may be undertaken from home with only occasional attendance in the studio and at project/client or site meetings as required.
We are an inclusive organisation and an equal opportunities employer. Our mission is to create a diverse and inclusive working environment across our practice. Recruitment opportunities are open to all, but we are particularly keen to hear from ethnically diverse and disabled candidates, as these groups are currently underrepresented within our teams.
