Senior Architectural Technologist (Revit)

An urgent position, has become available for an experienced Technician/ Technologist, that is fully Revit proficient, to join a well-established practice around the Northampton area.

They take a collaborative approach to all projects. In the fact that they don't operate a sector by sector approve, this enables you to work a wide variety of projects that are medium-large in scale and in recent weeks have green-lighted numerous Educational projects, but also take on Industrial. Healthcare, Community and Museum schemes.

They have 5 offices across the UK, 65 in total with 35 staff based in their Northampton team. Being chartered would be a major plus, but my client would look at experience over qualifications, but having an accreditation under your belt would be ideal.

They will be looking for your to have sound knowledge of NBS, and understanding of production information. They haven't got the time to train any new starters on Revit, and as they have a senior Technologist retiring at the end of July they are under some pressure to try and find this person as soon as possible!

They will be looking for all new starters to be based within their office initially, in order to make sure you are well-supported and you can gain more of an insight of the company culture/ ethos as quickly as possible (only so much can get from Teams/Zoom)!

After a period of time, they would be happy to look at a more hybrid way of working, giving you more flexibility around early/late start and finishes - as long as the core hours we're met in a particular day.

Main responsibilities:-

- Producing a wide range of working drawing packages
- Carry out Design stage risk assessments
- Lead the Detailed design process and coordinate design information
- Administer contracts and project certifications
- Appraise the performance of buildings which are in use and produce maintenance management information
- Liaison with appropriate local authorities (e.g. planning enquiries or building inspectors) when producing documentation for statuary information

Key skills:-

BSc Hons, HNC or equivalent qualification in Architectural Technology
CIAT membership or equivalent professional body
Min. 5 years Post qualification experience
Revit proficient/ Certified (Test will be conducted at interview stage)
Experience of Cobie data (would be an advantage)
Sound knowledge of construction detailing and building regulations (essential)
Sound knowledge of NBS
Experience in working as part of a collaborative team, as well as experience leading a small team
Must possess an eye for detail & design

The salary that will be on offer for this position, will be circa £40k PA (dependent on individual ability / experience).
