An architect is required with strong leadership skills for an international practice based in central London. Projects are split between the UK, Europe and Middle East and are large scale, commercial, retail, mixed use and masterplanning. Most projects are taken to tender however their UK schemes are built and include towers, cultural, retail and infrastructure.
The client has identified a gap in talent and require those with knowledge of both projects and team management. Design is key to the practice and this opportunity would suit passionate architects who enjoy designing in a collaborative environment.
You should have experience of running projects from concept to completion. Your responsibility will be involved with developing and leading a team of 8 on program planning, contracts, fee negotiations and will allow for accountability throughout projects stages.
This would suit a strong communicator; an architect who wants to be involved in the leadership and management of teams and projects, nurturing talent and developing strong teamwork creating better design and project running. The role will still be client facing and require creative design - however the soft skills are crucial to making a difference to a team requiring a positive force to guide.
