Senior Project Planner / Design Manager
If you're a determined Senior Project Planning and Design Manager looking for an opportunity with an ambitious Property Management company, then this could be for you.
The ideal candidate will have experience in design, dealing with consultants, managing projects and a strong background in Interior Design and Project Management.
The role is based in central London and you would be reporting directly Technical Services Director giving professional support and advice on all design matters. Contributing to ensure that all projects are managed in a timely manner and quality is delivered within the budget requirements set.
Requirements of the Project Planning and Design Manager:
·To manage and co-ordinate external consultants, contractors and suppliers throughout the project process to ensure it is represented to professional standards.
·In liaison with the Technical Services Director co-ordinate and manage the project tendering process
·To liaise with Technical Services Director, General Managers, the Senior Team and Directors to ensure the development process runs to the company brief.
·To report on a regular basis to the Technical Services Director on key decisions, programme, quality and cost issues
·To be aware of and implement new technologies and techniques into specific projects to ensure that the company meets any legislative requirements and produces the most appropriate finished product.
·To produce and update on a monthly basis a report on the Design lead issues of projects.
·To ensure a proactive management of all project related matters to minimise any issues.
·To produce scope of services for each design consultant of the development process for inclusion in each consultant's appointment.
Skills and Qualifications for the Project Planning and Design Manager:
·Formal Technical Qualification
·Degree in construction/development/architecture/design (desirable)
·Full membership of CIOB or RICS or RIBA (desirable)
·Post qualification experience of managing design related projects and consultants
·Experience of design and project management of construction projects
·Experience of working in a design practice, contractor or client environment managing design teams internally and externally of an organisation
·Knowledge of construction legislation and use of CAD
In return for the Assistant Project Planner:
·Generous salary £50,000 - £60,000 (basic)
