Senior Architect

An urgent opportunity has become available for a Senior level Architect to eventually become Associate over the coming years. This is to work for a busy medium sized practice in Cambridge, it's a permanent position with a salary circa £45,000 pa.

Given the seniority of this position you will need at least 5 years post qualification experience. You'll be managing small teams as well as getting stuck in from time to time with the technical drawings. This is generally an all-round position however there will be more weight put upon your technical know-how. Leadership and communication qualities will need to be of a high standard, not only for the managerial aspect but also due to the fact that this will be a client facing position and you'll be required to regularly liaise with clients on site as well as contractors. You'll need to be an ambitious individual with plans to grow within the company.

You'll be working on variety of projects ranging from labs to offices, residential, student living and masterplanning. Although you won't need to be a whiz with all of the above you will need to be comfortable with at least a few of these to be considered. Much of the work is centered around the Cambridge and North Home Counties area so it would help if you were familiar with these surroundings. You will need to be able to drive and be a commutable distance to Cambridge.
